Yahweh's Glory, Yahshua's Gloryby Phil Maxwell 12/98Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. (Is.42:1) ...and my glory will I not give to another (Is.42:8)He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. (Is.42:2-4) ...and my glory will I not give to another (Is.42:8)Thus saith God (el) the LORD (YHWH), he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: I the LORD (YHWH) have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. (Is.42:5-7)
...Jesus was not yet glorified. (Jn.7:39) ...Jesus was glorified. (Jn.12:16) ...Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son...thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. (Jn.17:1-2) ...and my glory will I not give to another (Is.42:8)...We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; (He.8:1) So then, after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. (Mk.16:19) Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God. (Lk.22:69) Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. (1Pe.3:22) ...and my glory will I not give to another (Is.42:8)...God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. (Ac.2:36) And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (Mt.28:18) ...Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, (Ep.1:20-22) ...and my glory will I not give to another (Is.42:8)Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. (Ac.5:31) Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Ph.2:9-11) ...and my glory will I not give to another (Is.42:8)Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. (Re.5:12) ...and my glory will I not give to another (Is.42:8)P.S. (lest any should think the above violates the 1st Commandment.) For [he] GOD hath put all things under [his] YAHSHUA's feet. But when [he] GOD saith all things are put under [him] YAHSHUA, it is manifest that [he] GOD is excepted, which did put all things under [him] YAHSHUA. And when all things shall be subdued unto [him] YAHSHUA, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto [him] GOD that put all things under [him] YAHSHUA, that God may be all in all. (1Co.15:27-28) |
