V. Revelations about California gubernatorial candidate Schwarzenegger kept coming last week, at nearly the rate of one per day. This following article captures the racy story well, so let us examine it. NEWS BRIEF: "Should voters forgive, forget? Recall uproar flares over Schwarzenegger's indiscretions", David Crary, Associated Press, Oct. 4, 2003 12:00 A.M., azcentral.com. "First came stories about groping, group sex and marijuana. Then an allegation of admiring words for Hitler. The stream of reports about Arnold Schwarzenegger's past raises a challenging question for all voters: How much should they forgive and forget? Many politicians have been compelled in recent years to admit marital infidelity yet managed to stay in office. Others have acknowledged using marijuana." At this point, Schwarzenegger is beginning to look a lot like President
Clinton during his sex scandal days. We were so shocked then because Clinton's
poll popularity rose with each fresh new sexual allegation. In
NEWS1200, we noted
this phenomenon, that Clinton just became more popular after each new sexual
allegation. Whereas previous politicians -- like Senator Gary Hart -- were sunk
permanently by just a single allegation, President Clinton got ever more popular
even as his sex life was laid more open for all to see. We noted then that this
feature will appear with Antichrist; Antichrist will depend upon the force of
his personality to persuade much of the people of the world to worship him. If
people can support Clinton in spite of his sex scandals, they will be persuaded
to support Antichrist. Christians must note, however, that Schwarzenegger is as Liberal as the Kennedy family from whom his wife comes; in fact, Arnold is almost a carbon copy of Clinton: Pro-Gay, Pro-Gun Control, Pro-Abortion, just to name a few. Since the Bohemian Grove selected him to run, we would not be surprised if a "Governor" Schwarzenegger turned out to be a Clinton clone. - WEEKLY UPDATES FROM Cutting Edge Ministries, www.cuttingedge.org 10/04 /2003 Schwarzenegger was no SurpriseDavis concedes, Schwarzenegger wins CaliforniaWhy are people so surprised? The satanic elite told us in the movies that he was going to win. The movie Running Man told us he was going run in the future. Davis wanted no recall, but Schwarzenegger had a movie called Total Recall telling us that Davis would never stand a chance. In the future the Terminator will come. I am convinced that the elite are placing him in a holding pattern for antichrist. Will he be the antichrist or will he be an unused backup is hard to say. So far my money is on Prince William. There is some rumors that Schwarzenegger is a clone from the Nazi cloning secret lab under the direction of Joseph Mengele called the Angel of Death. Mengele was doing experiments during world war ll on twins in search of cloning http://www.modcult.brown.edu/students/angell/mengele.html. Interesting how Arnold has a movie out called Twins. Interesting too is how his father was a Nazi officer http://www.guardian.co.uk/uslatest/story/0,1282,-3065735,00.html. Schwarzenegger in my mind is a non-human created in a test tube for a mission in life. Is it just coincidence that when he was a nobody he told his roomate that he was going to go to America, become a famous actor, and marry a Kennedy? How on earth could he make a Kennedy girl even like an amoral pig such as himself. Fact is that the Kennedy's are of the Merovingan bloodline of the Illuminati and DO NOT marry outside of this santanic bloodline that was created to rule the world. Isn't interesting now to read how Schwarzenegger had recurring dreams of becoming "King of the world," See: http://edition.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/08/12/schwarzeneger.ambition/ "(CNN) -- Capping an 11-week campaign, California voters turned to action movie hero and political novice Arnold Schwarzenegger to come to the rescue as the state's next governor Californians banished Gov. Gray Davis just 11 months into his second term and elected action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger to replace him Tuesday..." If you had the two 11s they add up to 22. According to satanists this means double power is being given. 11 is also the number of the antichrist because he is seen in scripture as the 11th horn. Also note that according to the Jews, Tuesday is the day of a double blessing. Ref: http://www.stargods.org/SchwarzeneggerWasNoSurprise.htm Related Article: http://stargods.org/KingSchwarzenegger.htm
Schwarzenegger for King?
The 11s and 13s is NO coincidence! For additional information on occult numbers check out: http://www.theforbiddenknowledge.com/111333/111333.htm
I for one would not be surprised if Schwarzenegger one day soon finds himself
back in Europe to lead the U.N. or world. After all he says he has had many
night dreams about being
"King of the Earth" and says he was "Born to be a Leader." Also there is a
genetically alternated seed named after one of his movies called the
Terminator Seed which grows like a weed and terminates all other God created
harvest produce. Basically it is a high tech Tare. Sure reminds me of Matt 13.
Could he be the master Tare come to "Terminate" the world? Have we been
conditioned by Hollywood mind control to accept him as the "Running Man" and
"Terminator" of all enemies of the New World Order? And why is his best friend
a Nazi along with his own father who was with the secret police during the
war? Will he fulfill his dream as King of the Earth? Only time will tell.
WARNING: This guy is bad news!!!

If the system is not functioning, “then the people will turn to a man on a
white horse,” said former California governor and present Oakland mayor Jerry
Brown on MSNBC. The Hangover - A post-mortem - b October 08, 2003, 10:17 a.m. RIGHTSean Walsh of Governor-Elect Arnold Schwarzenegger's campaign last night noted a preordained outcome, that Gray Davis was, at the outset, toast. Consider that the recall was always ahead; indeed, it peaked when Arnold announced. Back then, a recall election would have netted 63 percent "Yes," more than yesterday's 54 percent. From the outset, many of us misunderstood this recall and thought it would intrude on a risk-averse electorate. It now appears the burden of proof was not, as is customary, on its proponents. Instead, Davis was presumed guilty of malfeasance until proven innocent. And with his perceived pay-for-play government, he was anything but virginal.
Moreover, last November, Davis won with only a plurality — worse, yet, in a record-low turnout. His ("No" on recall) percentage last night wasn't really that much different. But the recall's voter turnout was much higher than Nov. 2 (but hardly a record, as erroneously reported by some). Ominously for Davis, many of his voters last year held their noses. The brief Davis concession last night was human. It was his first emotional connection with voters. I never knew he had relatives. Why does it take losing to improve personalities? I met Gray Davis a quarter century ago, when he worked for Jerry Brown. As chief of staff for the peripatetic Gov. Moonbeam, Gray was the detail guy, the implementer who gave order to Brown's chaos. Never did I imagine him as a candidate, much less governor. But was his predecessor for eight years all that different? Republican Pete Wilson is intelligent and conscientious. But, like Davis, he could be both a policy wonk and micromanager. Before Wilson, there were eight years of Republican Gov. George Deukmejian. A decent and honorable public servant, the unpretentious Duke served first as a state assemblyman, state senator, attorney general. Against Davis, Wilson, Deukmejian, Tom McClintock was exciting. WRONGThe fact is, McClintock, sans Arnold, was plausible. Oh, sure, Tom's very conservative, although his precise problem is not ideology, but rigidity. Still, voters wanted an anti-Davis — anyone. McClintock's views on social issues, at least this time, would not have been a deal breaker. Voters were consumed with the fiscal matrix. Also, consider Bill Simon. He was not defeated last year because he was, say, pro-life. Rather, his wounds were self-inflicted, as in Photogate, when Simon's own campaign made a fool of him, with the bogus Davis photo. Moreover, so-called moderate Republicans barely helped Simon last year. In contrast, conservative Republicans — elected officials, grassroots organizations, talk-show hosts — set Arnold up for victory. Without conservatives, Arnold would have lost, bringing the recall down with him. Don't forget this, and don't let him forget this. When Arnold entered this race, it was his to lose. With his high profile, he and the recall became inextricably linked. His entry was high-stakes, because it would assure a high turnout. Normally, high turnouts help the Dems. Arnold had to hit a homerun. On the other hand, an Arnold collapse, especially coming late, would not have salvaged McClintock. That's because (a) as Arnold went, so would have gone the recall, and (b) McClintock himself telegraphed this message: I don't have the hunger for the job. But Arnold did, and his passion inspired converts. Fantasy and reality merged as Arnold became the man on the white horse. Reporters pursued Arnold photo-ops, but not Arnold. There were thousands of column inches on AdWatch and campaign donors. But Arnold's campaign shrewdly gauged the mediocrity of the press. It gave Arnold a pass on the mistakes and contradictions of his campaign. This also was an election about cars. Gray Davis said, give illegal aliens driver's licenses, which Cruz Bustamante favored. Gray and Cruz badly miscalculated: That maneuver was marginal for the Latino base, but enraged opponents. And triple for everyone the annual car tax, which Cruz Bustamante said he would repeal. That seemed out of character for pro-tax Cruz. In sum, Cruz was hardly an escape hatch for Dems unhappy with Davis. Career change for Cruz: Become a voiceover announcer. In the meantime, Arnold, meet your lieutenant governor. Finally, the soap opera. For Bill Clinton, we called them "bimbo eruptions." Clinton supporters said, "It's the economy stupid." For Arnold, we had Gropergate. Arnold supporters said, "It's the budget deficit." The Los Angeles Times stories came too late to hurt, and may have helped, Arnold. How strange, then, for Arnold partisans to insist, simultaneously, on two mutually exclusive positions. First, the newspaper planned its last-minute hit for maximum damage. Second, such late attacks have little credibility and would backfire. "They" needed to take down Arnold weeks earlier. (Postscript Q&A: How can the Times now rigorously cover Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger without arousing suspicion?) On TV, CNN reports from Austria that a young Arnold predicted he would be a world champion body-builder and a movie star. That he would marry a beautiful woman and achieve great wealth. Finally, claims CNN, Arnold said he would be the most powerful man in the world. For now, how about worker's comp reform? — Arnold Steinberg is a California-based political strategist.

I will not fail you, I will not disappoint you, and I will not let you down - Arnold Schwarzenegger, Governor-elect of California, October 7, 2003 "Arnold positioned himself to ride the white horse of salvation all the way to the State House. He won. Now what?" - Arnold Schwarzenegger and Media Spectacle - By Douglas Kellner (http://www.gseis.ucla.edu/faculty/kellner/) [UCLA Bruin; 10/15/03]
11/22/1999 - Test "Date" Test (obviously unintended)(excerpt from possibly draft copy of late 2004 state of the state speech) Public Safety We worked hard to fix a prison system that lacked financial and behavioral accountability when I took office. Much still remains to be done but we have made changes designed to hold the system accountable to the people while rehabilitating our prisoners so they do not revert to crime. I instituted a zero tolerance policy against the “Code of Silence” in our prisons. Prison employees who fail to cooperate with an investigation or fail to report wrong-doing will be subject to disciplinary action from now on. December 5th, 1999 - RING OF HONOR
December 3rd, 1999 - THE "DAYS" OF ARNOLD'S LIFELast night in Tokyo, Arnold finished up the last leg of his whirlwind international press junket for END OF DAYS, which included stops to Paris, Munich, London and Sydney as well. So what's next, REST? Not for Schwarzenegger -- as soon as he was done, he was off to Vancouver to start filming his upcoming sci-fi thriller ON THE SIXTH DAY. Maybe on the seventh day, he'll rest. May 24th, 2000 - JUDGMENT DAY IS COMING!In Arnold's and Director James Cameron's groundbreaking 1992 film, TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY the audience is told that, "On August 29, 1997 Skynet becomes self-aware and... starts the war between Humans and the Machines"... Fans of the film will no doubt appreciate the significance as Artisan Entertainment releases it's long awaited Special Edition DVD on the same day, August 29th, 2000. Artisan's original plans were to release the limited edition DVD in 1997, the exact date spoke of in T2, but the re-release was held off until DVD technology advanced to the point where this new release would be something truly fantastic. May 9th, 2000 - ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER TO LAUNCH HISTORIC FESTIVAL OF HIS FILMS IN CHINA, TO BENEFIT SPECIAL OLYMPICS CHINA MAY 18-25Through the generous support of the world’s leading film studios, with a personal launch by international film star Arnold Schwarzenegger, and by invitation of the Chinese, an historic Film Week will take place this month in the Peoples’ Republic of China, with proceeds to benefit Special Olympics China. Schwarzenegger will lead a delegation of statesmen, athletes and heads of Special Olympics to Beijing, Shenzhen and Shanghai from May 18-25. The week launches a groundbreaking campaign on the part of Special Olympics, under the leadership of Sargent Shriver (Special Olympics Chairman) and Timothy Shriver (Special Olympics President and CEO) to create new possibilities for more than 35 million Chinese citizens with mental retardation. The “Special Olympics China Millennium March,” as the week of events has been dubbed, will support and celebrate a global commitment to raise the number of participants in Special Olympics China from 50,000 to 500,000 by the year 2004. Schwarzenegger has served as Global Torch Bearer of Special Olympics since 1979 and events in which he will participate include the first ever Special Olympics Torch Run to take place at China’s Great Wall and a Special Olympics Sports Day. Clearly a highlight for all involved, including Schwarzenegger, will be the Film Week. It marks the first time that an international film star has been invited by China to China to launch a film event of this nature. No other star has had this many films screened at one time (some of them for the first time ever in China) and never in China have the films of a star previewed in cinemas and on television in a coordinated effort. Schwarzenegger will personally launch the theatrical exhibition of two of his films at movie theaters in two of China’s leading cities—Beijing and Shanghai. Films to be screened in the Film Week include “Eraser,” “Junior,” “Kindergarten Cop,” “Terminator II,” “Commando,” “Predator,” “Jingle All the Way” and “Last Action Hero.” “Junior” and “Terminator II” will be screened theatrically. The other titles will air on China’s premiere television station, CCTV, in prime time, on consecutive nights, reaching an audience of at least 100 million people. Not only did the studios involved donate the films, but revenue from all ad sales on TV during the film festival, and all box office proceeds from the theatrical venues, will be donated to Special Olympic China. The potential to raise an enormous amount of money, for a very important cause, is obvious. Film Week demonstrates the power that movies and entertainment have to unite disparate people, from half-way around the world, in support of a worthy, common cause….and have fun in the process. Says MPAA head Jack Valenti of the event, “The fact that the Chinese government welcomes Arnold Schwarzenegger so warmly is both a tribute to Arnold and the worthiness of Special Olympics, as well as the world-enticement of the American movie which is received hospitably on every continent, by every country, creed and culture.” None of this would be possible without the hard work and generosity of some of the most influential people in the industry, including: Jim Gianopulous of Twentieth Century Fox, Alan Horn of Warner Bros., Nadia Bronson of Universal, Michael E. Grindon of Columbia TriStar International Television, Barbara DeNallo of Canal + and Jeff Schlesinger of Warner Bros. International Television. Likewise, in China, DeDe Nickerson of Warner Bros. China has been instrumental in pulling the program together and involving Chinese stars in various events of the week, as has Chris Ju Shang of Universal Asia. Crucial to the entire process is Deng Pu Fung (son of Deng Xiaoping), who is the foremost leader of China’s people with disabilities, and is the Chairman of the China Disabled Persons’ Federation. May 11th, 2000 - ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, SARGENT AND TIMOTHY SHRIVER LEAD A DELEGATION TO BEIJING, SHENZHEN AND SHANGHAI FOR A WEEK OF HISTORIC EVENTS IN SUPPORT OF SPECIAL OLYMPICS CHINA / MAY 18 - MAY 22, 2000To support and celebrate a global commitment to raise the number of participants in Special Olympics China from 50,000 to 500,000 by the year 2004, actor and humanitarian Arnold Schwarzenegger will lead a delegation of statesmen, athletes and heads of Special Olympics to Beijing, Shenzhen and Shanghai for a week of historic events. The week launches a groundbreaking campaign on the part of Special Olympics, led by Sargent Shriver, Special Olympics Chairman of the Board and Timothy Shriver, Special Olympics President and CEO, to create new possibilities for more than 35 million Chinese citizens with mental retardation. In China, they will be joined in this effort by the distinguished Chairman of the China Disabled Persons’ Federation, Deng Pufang and other members of the Special Olympics China Advisory Board from the financial, business, educational, civil and arts communities. Schwarzenegger will participate, together with Special Olympics athletes and other honored guests, in the first ever Torch Run to take place in China at its monumental Great Wall. Schwarzenegger will also be the first international film star to personally launch a weeklong festival of his films. That festival will screen simultaneously on television and in cinemas--the first such entertainment event ever to take place in China. Other groundbreaking events taking place throughout the week, and involving or honoring Special Olympics athletes, include: a dazzling benefit night of entertainment at the Great Hall of the People, a Special Olympics Sports Day, a first-ever Special Olympics Powerlifting demonstration and gala dinner in Shenzhen and a star-studded musical benefit celebration in Shanghai. > Established in 1985, Special Olympics China has over the past two years become one of the global movement’s most active programs. More than 50,000 persons with mental retardation have participated in Special Olympics China games. With a new, public commitment to raise the number of participants to 500,000 by 2004, China clearly has the most ambitious program in the Special Olympics movement. Arnold Schwarzenegger has always believed that his international film star status allows him continual opportunity to bring awareness and help to those in need, all over the world. This has been his active philosophy for over twenty years. He has been priviledged to serve as the Global Torch Bearer and International Weight Training Coach of Special Olympics since 1979 and traveled around the world as one of the organization’s most vigorous ambassadors. From 1990 to 1993, he served as Chairman of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and in 1991 then President George Bush awarded Mr. Schwarzenegger a National Leadership Prize for his great contributions to the public welfare and training of young people. He is currently Chairman of the California Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. He co-founded and is Chairman of the Inner City Games Foundation, currently established in thirteen major U.S. cities and which provides opportunities for inner-city youth to participate in year-round sports, educational, cultural and community enrichment programs. He is also the author of numerous best-selling books on health and fitness. Special Olympics had its inception in a summer day camp begun by Eunice Kennedy Shriver at her home in 1963. In 1968, she organized the First International Special Olympics Summer Games, in Chicago’s Soldier Field with over 1,000 athletes participating. Since then, it has grown into an international program of year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with mental retardation. Today, more than one million athletes in over 160 countries train and compete in 25 Olympic-type sports. Special Olympics believes that through sports training and competition, people with mental retardation can benefit physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually. Those benefits include improved physical fitness and motor skills, greater self-confidence, a more positive self-image, friendships, and increased family support. Special Olympic athletes carry these benefits with them into their daily lives at home, in the classroom, on the job and in the community. In addition, athletes’ families become strengthened and the community learns to accept and welcome people with mental retardation in an environment of equality, respect and dignity. August 28th, 2000 - HERCULES IS "BACK"!Dust off your togas and get ready to party! Trimark has just announced plans to re-release Arnold's first movie, HERCULES IN NEW YORK, on DVD on October 24th, 2000. This is great news, but it gets better! As you may know, Arnold's voice was dubbed in the film's final version because the producers thought his accent was too thick, but Trimark's new release will feature both tracks, the dubbed version and the original audio track of Schwarzenegger himself! Experience the film as you've never experienced it before! Praise mighty Zeus!! August 30th, 2000 - ARNOLD HONORED!On Monday, August 28th, 2000, Arnold was awarded the Father Flanagan Award by Boys Town Nebraska. The award, established in 1975, is presented periodically to individuals who have lived a life of example for children. Past recipients include; Dr. Jonas Salk, Mother Teresa, Nancy Reagan and Michael Jordan. Boys Town was established in 1917 to help provide food, shelter, clothing, as well as educational and spiritual support to neglected, abused and troubled youth. Boys Town is a leader in treatment and care of "at risk" boys and girls and in research and development of programs to meet their needs and ready them for adult life. September 12th, 2000 - A LEGENDARY CONVERSATIONLast week, Arnold joined ABC National News Correspondent Sam Donaldson and a crowd of over 1200 guests at The Wyndham Anatole hotel in Dallas, Texas for A CONVERSATION WITH A LIVING LEGEND, an ongoing series of interviews with some of the most influential members of the late twentieth century. The charitable event benefitted the MD Anderson Cancer Center at The University of Texas, the nation's leading Cancer Center. Tickets went from $100.00 for regular seating to tables for $15,000.00 (called the "Terminator Tables"). In his thirty minute conversation with Donaldson, Arnold discussed family, marriage, kids, charity, The Inner City Games, Movies, Life in Austria, parenting and, of course, the importance of eradicating cancer. Always one to give his all for a cause, Arnold and Sam Donaldson both sold the director's chairs they'd been sitting in on stage during a completely unexpected, impromptu auction that raised another $37,000.00 for the MD Anderson Cancer Center and brought the total raised to benefit the center over $500,000.00. Former "legends" have included George Bush (1999), Colin Powell (1998), Henry Kissinger (1997) Norman Schwarzkopf (1996), Barbara Bush (1995), Margaret Thatcher (1994), Arnold Palmer (1993), and Walter Cronkite (1992). November 6th, 2000 - ARNOLD GETS WILDER IN HOLLYWOOD!On Monday, November 6th at Wolfgang Puck's Spago's Beverly Hills in Hollywood, Arnold received the Billy Wilder Award from the renowned director himself! Well known for his wit and satirical humor, Billy Wilder, the multiple Oscar Honored Director and Screen Writer was the director of such classics as SOME LIKE IT HOT, THE APARTMENT and SUNSET BOULEVARD. Founded in 1993 by the Austrian non-profit organization, "Verein zur Förderung der Film und Fernsehkultur in Österreich", the award recognizes outstanding services for international reputation of the Austrian Image in Moviemaking. The award is further supported by the Austrian Ministry for Cultural Affairs, the City of Vienna and the Film Institute of the University of Music and the Performing Arts, Vienna November 20th, 2000 - NOT ENOUGH ARNOLDS TO GO AROUNDSometimes there's not enough Arnold to go around. This proved to be true at a charity event in Los Angeles last week. Organizers of ROAST THIS! A NIGHT WITH MUHAMMED ALI AND FRIENDS, HOSTED BY BILLY CRYSTAL, held to benefit The Muhammed Ali Center in Louisville, KT, had hoped Schwarzenegger would be able to join them last week on November 16th to add his special brand of Austrian humor to the dais. And they were more than just disappointed when Arnold couldn't attend. Although Schwarzenegger told the event's organizers all along that he would do his best to make it, due to circumstances such as his mother-in-law's health, the opening of THE 6TH DAY, a rigorous press schedule and the continuing shoot for his next film COLLATERAL DAMAGE, Arnold was very clear that his appearance was not definite and they should not plan on him being there. However, when the evening arrived, and Arnold didn't, the event's hosts and organizers took it as an opportunity to poke some fun at Schwarzenegger and apparently went too far; they left his name on his chair, introduced him even though he was not there and made jokes about him being a "no show". Perhaps they'd just gotten into the spirit of the "roast", but when word got to Schwarzenegger, he certainly wasn't happy. "I can understand they were disappointed I didn't make it, but I think it was extremely unfair to me that they played it out in the way that they did. It was unfortunate and disrespectful that they made it part their "act." and used me to "fill a gap" so that guests and press would perceive my absence as my failure, when, in fact, that was not the case. If I'd known they were going to have so much fun at my expense, I'd have sent them a few "one-liners"." "Muhammed Ali, Billy Crystal and I have long-standing relationship, and that friendship will continue." Last month, Ali and Schwarzenegger co-hosted another charity event, Audemars Piguet's "Time to Give", a watch auction that helped raise over 1.5 million for their respective charities. In addition, Ali and Arnold will be together again, January 16th, 2000 for the World Sports Awards in London - one of the biggest international awards shows which honors athletes of all kinds from around the world for their outstanding achievements and contributions. Arnold will have the honor of being presented a Lifetime Achievement Award that will be presented to him by Ali. December 6th, 2000 - ARNOLD "FORE!" CLONESDuring Arnold's recent ABC interview with Barbara Walters, Schwarzenegger discussed whether or not he'd ever like to be cloned, as his character, Adam Gibson, is in the mind-bending new thriller, "THE 6TH DAY". Schwarzenegger told Walters of his own desire to be cloned. Schwarzenegger thought it would be fantastic. While he spends more time with family and friends, he'd need one to do the acting and another one for the golf course. Copyright © 2004 Oak Productions, Inc. Source: Schwarzenegger.com ("Up to the minute" archives)I was just curious if this stuff on this Web Site is just kept up by someone working for Arnold or if Arnold really knows about what's on this Web Site and if he really put it together or if he just said Okay to it all. The answer is both. An Internet Design Company called CBO Interactive (Now The Cimarron Group), who also did the site for my new film END OF DAYS, designed my web site and performs the upkeep. I'm a bodybuilder and an actor. That's enough! Let the computer guys do it. I just worry that those poor guys aren't getting any exercise. But in the end, it is MY SITE, so I am very involved in it's development, in terms of the content and what goes up there. In addition, I also write a monthly column (IN HIS OWN WORDS) that allows me to communicate to my fans any personal ideas, stories or thoughts that I think are important or that the fans would like to know about, like upcoming movies or the Inner-City Games and Special Olympics.
How tall are you? I'm 6'2". I've heard rumors that I'm really much shorter in real life - like 5'6" or something like that - which is ridiculous. I can assure you this is not the case. People look up to me, and not just because I do a lot of work in the community. I mean, most people really LOOK UP to me.
Will Arnold Run for President? We've really gotten a lot of mail about this, and not only from the fans! First, the fact is that I cannot run for President of The United States because I was not born in this country, but lately there has been a lot in the media about how I might run for Governor of California. But really what happened was that I mentioned it in a few interviews and the writers took my comments and kind of created this story. The truth is that I have thought about it many times because I think there are a great many things that our politicians can do to benefit our communities, especially our children, that they're not doing. Personally, that's why I first got involved in the Inner-City Games. I saw a void that needed to be filled -- I wanted to help kids get started in sports, computer and community programs that would point them away from negative influences like violence, gangs and drugs. I wanted to get children pointed in a positive direction, toward education and the other things that will prepare them for the future. And thankfully, through the hard work of a lot of people, not just myself, we are starting to fill that void. But there's still a lot of other work to do and that's why I feel that, one day, I may consider running for public office. But right now I'm an actor. That's my job and it's the best job in the world, so why would I want to jump into something else? I still have a lot of movies to do.
Hello Arnold, you did a video with AC/DC. It was shot in a Van Nuys airport hanger about 5-6 years ago. Could you please tell me what the name of the movie/video and where to find it? Thanks. - albutthead@aol.com The video you're asking about was AC/DC's BIG GUN and it was made for LAST ACTION HERO in 1993. Currently you can't find it anywhere but perhaps it could end up some day on a LAST ACTION HERO DVD as one of the special features. However, I don't know of any current plans to re-release that film at this time. As an audience member, what was the first movie you ever saw, and what effect did it have on you? - indyflm93@yahoo.com I was very young, but I remember my father taking me to the Austrian theaters and seeing some newsreels. The first real movie I saw, that I distinctly remember, was a John Wayne movie. When I was a kid, I saw mostly American films with stars like Kirk Douglas and Elizabeth Taylor and, of course, as I grew older I was always a big fan of the Reg Park/Steve Reeves HERCULES films. All of these films inspired me very much in my early life. I would watch them and say to myself, "I would love to be like that. I would love to be on the big screen." That was my dream and even after I discovered bodybuilding and it become my passion I never lost that dream, so that's why even when I was just starting out as a bodybuilder I always had it in my mind that when I retired from the sport I would pursue acting. I've recently become a father. I understand you had a strict upbringing. Do you think this helped you and what advice would you give from the experience of raising your own children? - mlkjla@dtz.at It's true my parents were very strict and I think many times I'm very strict with my own children but not like it was when I grew up. Back then in Austria it was a very different world -- if we did something bad or we disobeyed our parents, the rod was not sparred. It was still the yardstick at school. You put your hands out there on the table and BANG! But it wasn't just me. It was this way for every kid at the time. But today, you don't do that anymore. As parents, we now know better and we've learned that physical punishment doesn't work. If my children make mistakes, I talk about it with them, maybe two or three times, then maybe I take away some of their privileges and cut down on some of the things that they like to do. You can send a powerful message this way that if they do the things I want them to do then they can do the things that they want to do. One of the best things you can do with your children is play with them. At the same time, I act very silly. Many times I do a lot of sports with them. I play games with them. Act out parts. We do little plays, sometimes. Of course, you get very silly. And the kids love that, when they see you coming down to their level and being silly. What is the secret of a good marriage? - mflwrchld@edu.de I'm asked this question very often and I truly think the most crucial element of a successful marriage is love and respect. It also helps if you are a little selfless. You must realize it's not just you that make the decisions. It's you and your wife. Maria and I make all of these decisions together, where our children go to school, how they should do their homework, what the moral guidelines ought to be at home. What the discipline ought to be at home, all those things. All of that is very important and that you must do together. It's all part of that love and respect you must have for each other. If you have the ultimate love for your wife and she has it for you, I think you have a great head start. That's not to say it won't be difficult sometimes. You go through your ups and downs but you work through it. I would like to know how many languages does Arnold S. speak? - marianne@libcong.com Of course I speak German and English but I've been known to get by with a little Italian every now and then. Naturally when I came to this country, my English was very bad, and my accent was also very strong which was an obstacle as I began to pursue acting -- they had to dub my voice in HERCULES GOES BANANAS (HERCULES IN NEW YORK) if you remember. But I approached learning English the same way I approached bodybuilding, acting and every other goal I've had in my life. I worked at it very hard every day. I worked on my accent as well, believe it or not :-) I have a question for Arnold. Who is the actor who is been in most of your movies? He was Sven in THE RUNNING MAN, a goon in RAW DEAL and he was at the gym in RED HEAT, and he (was also) in END OF DAYS. How do you know him, and what other movies has he been in with you? - ryanandjess@home.com Ah, you're speaking of my friend, the infamous Sven Thorsen (Sven Ole-Thorsen). You must watch the closing credits very closely or have a good eye. Sven and I are very good friends and we've known each other since my early bodybuilding days. In addition to THE RUNNING MAN, RAW DEAL, RED HEAT, and END OF DAYS, Sven has also appeared in TWINS, LAST ACTION HERO, both of the CONAN films and he's also done stuntwork for BATMAN & ROBIN, JINGLE ALL THE WAY and ERASER. But he's perhaps most famous now for being the answer to a trivia question on my web site. But even after all of the films he's been in with me and all of other work he's done (Thorsen has appeared in over thirty films and television shows), I'm sure the role he enjoyed the most was his guest stint on BAYWATCH (episode's 9.1 and 9.2 CRASH Parts I&II).
Hello! I've been a big fan of yours ever since I saw you in COMMANDO. Since then I've made a point to not miss a movie of yours. I've seen the action ones such as PREDATOR, TERMINATOR 2, RUNNING MAN as well as your comedies such as KINDERGARTEN COP and TWINS to name a few. Where do you see yourself going with your film career now? Do you wish to pursue roles different to the ones you have done till now? I did notice END OF DAYS was not a character you've portrayed before. Do you plan on pursuing more comedies? - flynn@powersurfr.com All of the above. I'm interested in great stories and good characters but it's also very important to me to give my fans what they want. I feel my audience wants to see me try different things and that's why I do comedies and why, as I chose my action roles in the future, I'll lean toward roles that are more complex than I've played in the past. I look at Clint Eastwood -- the majority of his early career was made up of westerns, THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY, HIGH PLAINS DRIFTER, etc... but later he tried other types of roles like in DIRTY HARRY and THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY. When he returned to westerns in UNFORGIVEN, he gave us a new twist on the kind of character that we'd all grown up watching. It was a smart choice and audiences and critics responded to it very well. My next two projects, THE 6TH DAY and COLLATERAL DAMAGE are smart action films and also have the promise of that kind of complexity. What are your feelings on anabolic steroids? Do you think that they should be allowed in bodybuilding competitions? - Drsrmoore@aol.com Back when I started bodybuilding, steroid use was not uncommon among athletes, but there was little information about the side effects and the negative aspects of using them. Since then, we all have learned a great deal about these supplements. Because of the health risk that's been proven they present, I strongly feel there is no place for them in bodybuilding or any sport, especially among competitive professionals. In fact, the 1990 Arnold Classic was the first bodybuilding competition to require drug testing for it's participants and that practice continues today Hello Arnold. My favorite movie is End of Days... What is your favorite Movie that you have ever acted in? - pateerex@aol.com Every movie I've been involved with has been such a great experience but I have to admit there was something special about the second TERMINATOR. (TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY). The first film had been such a great success and the script for T2 was so great, with all of these terrific twists and turns and every character was expanded on in very interesting ways. In addition, the film was pushing the boundaries of special effects at the time and we all knew that we were creating things that had never been done before -- it was all very exciting. Everyone involved had that feeling that we were making something truly fantastic and it was great to be a part of that and to help continue a character and a storyline that had been so important to me in the beginning of my career... and of course, the end result was truly awesome. Dear Arnold Schwarzenegger, I simply ask ONE question: "Who or what makes your life worth living it?" - crewman13@mail.utexas.edu "Who" is my family and friends, and "What" are the goals I set for myself every day. It doesn't matter who an individual is, what they've done or how much success they've had in their life, every day there must be a new set of challenges to undertake or otherwise, why bother getting out of bed in the morning? In one of my first films, STAY HUNGRY, my character Joe Santo says that he never wants to get "too comfortable", that he wants to "stay hungry' -- I know exactly what he means. There are so many fantastic things to see and do in this world and so many things to accomplish, not only for ourselves, but for the benefit of others, that it's a waste to stand still and not attempt something, regardless of whether or not we think it can be accomplished -- because we'll never know until we try and I truly believe that anything we attempt can be done if we stay focused and never give up Arnold, If your children wanted to become movie stars, what advice would you give them and at what age would you want them to start? Also if they wanted to become bodybuilders, would you encourage them? My son is 14 and has just started to lift weights, but I make sure that he goes to a supervised Gym because obviously he is still growing. Is 14 okay to be lifting or should he wait another year? - TracyJ@hill65.freeserve.co.uk I think the important thing is that we support our children in anything they want to do, whether it's bodybuilding, acting, law, medicine, or art, etc... As parents, the best thing we can do is create a nurturing environment where are children feel it's safe to attempt great things, and know that it's okay to risk, even to fail, as long as they get up to try again. The advice I would give to my children if they wanted to be actors would be to study everything about acting that they could, voice, movement, etc... but to always hold on to what makes them unique as individuals and not to try to copy what everyone else is doing. As an actor, you uniqueness is your greatest asset, it's what will separate you from everyone else. Look at my career, nobody wanted to take me seriously -- I had this strange body and a thick accent, but it turned out that these things eventually became an advantage. I created a place for myself by being myself. If my children wanted to become bodybuilders, I would certainly encourage them -- bodybuilding has done so much for me, for both my body and my mind. Bodybuilding and other athletics teach us about self-discipline and raise self-esteem, and these things will help us in every aspect of life. But as with acting, there's only a small chance of success. But again, we never know what we will accomplish until we try. As far as whether or not your child should be lifting weights at fourteen, my only advice is that every child is different. I was lifting at fifteen but that doesn't necessarily mean fourteen is too young; however usually the body is not ready for heavy weight training at this age. I would suggest your child concentrate first on resistance training (ie. push-ups, sit-ups, squats,) in order to build some preliminary body mass and strength and then move on to weight training. In addition, I would strongly encourage you to consult your family physician before beginning any exercise program -- then if possible, consult with a professional trainer at your gym to create an appropriate workout. Arnold, what would you recommended should be taught in American history classes about you? - fehrb@m.ogden.k12.ut.us I'm not sure that anything should be taught in American History Classes about me, and certainly not in acting classes :-) Just kidding. I guess what you're really asking is "how do I hope the world feels about me?" It's an interesting question, but not something that I've thought much about. I try to live by example -- if my life is inspiring to people, that's a great thing because when I was growing up, I was inspired by individuals like Reg Park and Steve Reeves and I know what that can mean. If I could have a footnote in some textbook it would be that I demonstrated that anything is possible if you are willing to put in the work to do it. I heard that there will be a TRUE LIES sequel. Is this true? - GCHIMP911@aol.com TRUE LIES 2 is in the works and everyone involved can't wait. The first TRUE LIES were one of the best experiences of my career -- it was a lot of fun and, of course, the film did very well for all of us. James Cameron is a visionary and I look forward to the opportunity to work with him again. Currently the script is being worked on and as soon as that is ready, we will all look at our schedules and figure out when filming can begin. My friends and I were discussing what some of the greatest (cinematic) battles would be. Of course, your name came up very quickly, and we put you up against Yoda. Most of my friends tell me that you'd lose to Yoda because Yoda has the force on his side and will just use his mind to throw you into the wall a few times. However, I beg to differ with them. Yes, Yoda has the force. Yes, Yoda could probably throw you into a wall a few times. But, when has a wall ever stopped you? From being crucified to surviving a nuclear explosion, I think a wall would be child's play... Although these are good arguments, there is still one that is far above the others. What does Arnold do best? The impossible. If defeating Yoda is impossible, then you would do it... I'm curious as to how you'd answer such a ludicrous question: Who would win, you or Yoda? And why? - solymot@alleg.edu This is the funniest question anyone's ever asked me and, to be honest, when it was forwarded to me, I thought at first someone in my office was just trying to have fun with me. But after I read it, I thought, why not? It's kind of an interesting question. Let's have fun. Actually, I've seen the STAR WARS films a few times, and of course, my kids like them tremendously (there's even a life-size Yoda in the conference room at the office -- a gift from a friend). Although I wouldn't consider myself an expert, what I can say about Yoda is that he's character with a strong, serious mind and a disciplined will. To become a Jedi Master, Yoda would have had to work very hard and make tremendous sacrifices. He would have needed to spend tremendous hours training; levitating rocks, practicing with his light saber, that sort of thing. By now, I think you'll see what I'm getting at; becoming a Jedi Master is not unlike becoming a champion bodybuilder, or becoming an actor. I worked hard in the gym to become a champion, and I worked very hard to become an actor, and I couldn't have done any of it without commitment, and that takes discipline and willpower first. The mind is actually more powerful than the body, because it is our will that helps us shape everything else around us, whether it's our careers, how we help our communities or even if it's just making time for our families. So who would win? Possibly Yoda, but I'm sure I'd kick his butt in a pose-down! Dear Mr. Schwarzenegger, Hi. My name is Leeann Church, And I am a HUGE fan of yours. I've seen all of the movies you've starred in that the Ratings will allow me to see ( I'm 12 ). I really think your awesome! And I someday hope to be a bodybuilder! ( you inspired this wish ) Any way I was just wondering what kept you going when you used to train, because I sometimes find it very difficult to complete my daily workout. Any suggestions? Thank you for your precious time. A HUGE fan, love ya P.S. How many books have you written? Bye, Bye! : ) - dlchurch@adelphia.ne I'll start with the last question first, I've written several books, but currently there are only three in print, THE NEW ENCYCLOPEDIA OF MODERN BODYBUILDING, ARNOLD: THE EDUCATION OF A BODYBUILDER and ARNOLD'S BODYBUILDING FOR MEN. Many years ago, I also worked with The Children's Better Health Institute to create ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER'S FITNESS FOR KIDS coloring book which we soon make available on the web site. Regarding your second question, "what kept me going when you used to train?" You'll find that some days your body just won't seem to respond the way you want it to and your workouts will be much more difficult. When I first started training, a friend told me that "the body doesn't change that much from day to day, it's the mind." I realized he was right. This is again why it is sometimes best to train with a partner. A partner will challenge and motivate you. Karl and I would have contests to see who could lift more, who could do more reps, etc. As a result, the workouts were more fun, and if training is fun, we're more likely to look forward to it and complete our workouts. Arnold, in your Mr. Universe contests, were you ever concerned about the large bulk of Lou Ferrigno, or were you always confident that you were better, (and) a more proportioned athlete? - anzac@voyager.co.nz The truth is that I was always confident I could beat everybody. I had to be, otherwise that lack of confidence would have effected every aspect of my competing, from the early judging to the pose-downs. The only time I can remember being shocked was during my first Mr. Universe competition in America. I had mass and large muscles, but the American bodybuilders were so much more defined. I was especially impressed with Sergio (Oliva). He seemed sculpted out of stone. I place second. I was disappointed, but inspired at the same time. I swore to train harder, working on defining each muscle in may body. I stayed in America that year, worked with Joe Weider and came back the next year to win the competition. Dear Arnold, I was wondering how big you were when in peak condition? How much did you weigh? How big were your calves, thighs, waist, chest, biceps? - rascal2@ameritech.net I had to look this up. During the peak of my career my calves were 20 inches, thighs 28.5 inches, waist 34 inches, chest 57 inches and 22 inch arms. For the sake of argument, we'll assume these measurements are still correct ;-) Hi Arnold, Are you and Stallone ever going to team up to make a big budget EVENT summer action film? The Hollywood Reporter said you and Sly are in talks to make a big action film together. - rockyesque@hotmail.com A lot of fans ask about this and it's true that Sly and I have talked about the possibility of doing a film together. It would have to be the right project and currently there's nothing on the horizon. I've just finished THE 6TH DAY and I'm moving right into shooting COLLATERAL DAMAGE. After that, there are still plans to re-team with James Cameron for TRUE LIES 2 and we're still working on the script for CRUSADE, so as you can see, even if a project did come up that Stallone and I wanted to work on, we wouldn't be able to start for some time. And that's just my schedule. Sly is also a very busy guy. We'll keep looking and hopefully one day the right project will turn up. Before anything let me say that your book, The NEW Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding is THE best book for ANYONE interested in getting a better body. While reading your book there are shots of numerous bodybuilders. There are also many captions referring to them. Throughout the book, I can tell that you made some friends and had allot of fun. Do you still keep in touch with friends you've made working out (old workout partners etc)? When you workout now do you still have a partner? Lastly do you miss the days of competition, or are you content with your other focuses? - sithspawn@141.com Yes, I've always tried to stay friends with my buddies from the bodybuilding days. Of course, Franco Columbu and I are still very close, as well as Sven-Ole Thorsen, Zane, Draper, Lou, all of those guys. They're fantastic people. In fact, this Summer, Cinemax will be showing a new, updated version of PUMPING IRON, with brand new footage and interviews with the group. As the air date comes closer, we'll let fans know through the web site. When I work out these days, I don't always have a partner. It's just difficult with everybody's schedules. We all have our lives. But workouts are always better with partners -- You push each other and you have more fun. Regarding your last question; do I "miss the days of competition"? Of course, It was a fabulous, exciting time. I made a tremendous number of friends and there is nothing quite like the energy of a competition. But there are so many things to do in life and I accomplished everything I ever dreamed of in bodybuilding and more. Events like THE ARNOLD CLASSIC help me stay close. For now, my acting and my other interests like THE INNER-CITY GAMES and SPECIAL OLYMPICS keep me busy and are just as exciting and fulfilling, if not a little more so Do you think Military Service helped your bodybuilding career in any way? - rascal2@ameritech.net Absolutely. But of course, my experience in the Army was very unique. As you may know, during basic training, I went AWOL in order to compete in the Junior Mr. Europe Contest in Stuttgart. In retrospect, this may not have been the best course of action, but participating in the competition meant so much to me that I didn't carefully think through the consequences. When I got to Stuttgart, I was all confused. I forgot my posing routine, I had to borrow posing trunks, but still I won! It was truly a tremendous day for me but the Army didn't see it that way. I was caught sneaking back onto the base and spent the next week in an Army jail. But when the top majors heard that I'd won, they made me a company hero and ordered me to train every day. Officers would stop by to check on my training and if they saw me sitting down, they'd threaten to put me back in jail! I trained six hours a day and by the end of the year, I'd gained more muscle than at any time before in my training. (from 200 to 225) Obviously, this was an ideal situation, not to mention a fortunate one. Imagine if Steven Spielberg had joined the Army and been ordered to make films. But I'd have benefited from the Army even if this had not happened. The Army built up my character, my will and my determination and taught me about discipline and commitment, two ideals vital to success in any career, especially bodybuilding. One more thing which you might be interested in -- If you'd like to see the actual tank I drove while I was in the Army, it's now on display at The Mott Military Museum in Columbus, Ohio. Hello Mr Schwarzenegger, I have a couple of things to say and hope you read this. First, I would like to say I am your biggest fan, but... I bet you hear that all the time. How many biggest Fans can you have? Ha ha ha. I am a young male from Australia, 16 to be exact. I have been training... for the last one and a half years (and) have made fantastic gains and I owe this to you. Everytime I need motivation to become Mr. Olympia, I look to you... you're the greatest bodybuilder ever. The question I would like to ask is, "How does it feel to be a Mr. Olympia?" I can imagine how great it would feel. Also how was it going up against guys like Franco, Lou and Mike Mentzer? These guys were all good, but nothing like you. ARNOLD you're the BEST and my GOD!!!!!! Regards, - bhallora@bigpond.net.au Quite simply, to win a Mr. Olympia feels fantastic! While you're standing on that top platform, listening to the cheers of the crowd, knowing you're the best in the world, all of the sweat, the hard work, and the long hours in the gym wash away in the applause. You have such an outstanding feeling of accomplishment that you can't wait to get back into the gym to train harder for next year! For this reason, it was very difficult for me to give up competing, but I'd already exceeded my dreams as a bodybuilder and was ready to move on to acting. To answer the second part of your question, competing with Franco, and guys like Lou and Mike was always fun. All the bodybuilders I competed against were such tremendous athletes that they made me better. In fact, a bunch of us from the PUMPING IRON days just got together for a reunion at the "Arnold Classic" in Columbus, Ohio last spring. Arnold, I just turned 43 and all of my 5 children have finally left home and I have plenty of time on my hands now. I've always want to have a sculptured body but many things have gotten in the way. I just recently bought some resistance equipment and have started a basic training routine. Have I waited too long to get started? Is it too late to get a sculptured body? Thanks, - cbnelson@home.com First of all, congratulations on raising five children! Second, it's never too late to start. You may want to take things more slowly and I would caution you not to expect results too quickly. But do not let this discourage you. The body wants to be healthy and it will respond. I would caution you however, as I do everyone, to first consult your family doctor before beginning any exercise program. Dear Mr. Schwarzenegger: I am a big fan of you, your movies, and your activism. My... question goes to the development of your movie career. Of course, you have been the lead, dominating figure in all of your movies to date. Have you ever considered taking a smaller, supporting role in a non-big-budget movie? While this would seem to go against the Arnold Philosophy, I think it would be pretty cool to see you perform a challenging "character" acting role. (An Oscar (tm) would look great on the dash of a Hummer, and sadly they don't seem to hand those out for "hero" roles....) Danke, - ta@taweb.com What do you mean? I've already taken a supporting role. It's called being Maria's husband! (I'm kidding!) You're question is an interesting one. I've played smaller roles; Joe Santo in STAY HUNGRY and Mr. Freeze in BATMAN AND ROBIN for example. But Santo was an "Austrian Bodybuilder", so of course the part was tailor made for me and Mr. Freeze was a comic-book role. By a "character" role, I assume you mean something like Robin Williams' performance in GOOD WILL HUNTING, where he took on a different type of role than the comedies most of us know him for. The truth is I love making the kinds of movies that I make; TERMINATOR, TRUE LIES, TWINS, and I want to continue making those kinds of movies. But for the right script and director, I would definately take a different kind of role, as you suggest. My feeling is this, I've acted, directed, produced, and I've done action, drama, comedy, so why not? Throughout my whole life, I've always placed new goals and challenges in front of me, and to play a role like that would be an exciting challenge. We'll see. Good question! Dear Webmaster, I think this is a great site in honor of a great man. I have a question I wish to ask Arnold, and it follows: Dear Mr. Schwarzenegger, Greetings from a fellow Austrian-American descended from Graz! I was wondering if you still have family back in Austria, and if you do, do you still keep in contact with them often? Also, how often do you go back, just to visit? I know you have the Schwarzenegger-Stadion which is rightly named in your honor, are you also a big Sturm Graz fan, or a fussball fan in general? Thanks for your time. Sincerely, - bill_lab@email.msn.com Yes, I am a great fan of all sports, "fussball" (soccer), baseball, basketball, hockey, skiing, and my children and I play sports all of the time. Can you imagine if they didn't?! It'd be like KINDERGARTEN COP all over again. I'd be running around the house with a whistle telling them to do jumping jacks. Of course I played fussball when I was a boy and it was because of our coach that I was first introduced to weightlifting and to the gym, which of course led to my love of bodybuilding and everything else that followed. So, in a way, my entire career started with fussball. I still have many friends back in Graz and I get back to Austria as often as I can, usually two to three times a year. I always enjoy my time there tremendously. Arnold, During this whole Bush, Gore election chaos my wife and I have had some pretty intense discussions. You see I voted for Bush, and she voted for Gore. Normally we do not discuss politics, but with this election it (was) hard not to. My question is how do you and Maria deal with your political differences, especially during this election? Take care, - ryanandjess@ignmail.com This election was unique and if it did one thing, it proved that our vote counts. Too many times people think, "my vote doesn't matter", so they stay at home on Election Day and let everyone else decide the future of their country. No one can ever think like that again. Maria and I deal with our political differences simply; We agree to disagree, but the truth is we're not so far apart on many issues, and you have to remember that when you love someone, you love the whole person, so even when you disagree, you can always work to find a common ground on which to communicate. And on those days when Maria and I can't find a common ground, I think about how much I love her and try to remember... "Nobody's perfect." ;-) I'm a big fan of T2 and can't wait for T3 but I'm curious to know why at about 10 years later you decided to get involved with it? - PatAlert@aol.com After the success of the first Terminator film, I'd always wanted to do a sequel, but first I had to convince Jim (James Cameron) and then it took us some time to find the right concept. Both Jim and I were very proud of the fantastic success of T2 and have always been open to the possibility of adding new chapters to the saga. When we shot T2:3D for Universal Studios, it was very important to us that the storyline was a logical continuation of where T2 left off and something that we could propel on into a T3 and/or T4. Initially, I only wanted to do it if Jim were involved. But as I traveled around the world promoting my movies, or doing work for Special Olympics and the Inner-City Games, the one question everyone always asked me was, "Arnold, when are you going to make another Terminator?" It was the same thing on the Web site. The email we received the most was "Will you ever make T3?". I began to realize just how much my fans wanted to see this story continue. The script is very good and very faithful to the story begun in the first three films. I know the fans are really going to love it! Dear Mr. Schwarzenegger, I have one simple question: Do you ever just sit down sometimes in the middle of whatever you are doing and think how your life would have turned out if you chose a goal other than bodybuilding? Thanks, - r_gionet@mail.plymouth.edu That's a fascinating question. The fact is that my goals were so clear to me from the time I was just a boy that I've never really considered what another life would have looked like. I wanted to be a bodybuilder, then an actor. Obviously I've been tremendously fortunate. Not only have I realized my goals, I've exceeded them, which I believe is a testament to the power of committing yourself completely to something. The only question I ask myself is "how can I give others the chance to enjoy the success that I've had?" and that is why I'm so excited about the fantastic contributions we are able to make in the lives of so many children through the Inner-City Games Foundation and Special Olympics. Dear Arnold, Have you ever thought being the main character in a romantic role? I mean, a romantic story? I'm sure all women out there would love to see more of your romantic side! Love from your eternal fan, - marcia_pontes@stones.com I have considered all types of roles before, but my romantic side is going to be saved just for Maria and not for my films for at least the next couple of years. As you know, I'm currently busy with my next film, COLLATERAL DAMAGE, then it's on to T3 and then either TRUE LIES 2 or DOC SAVAGE after that. But for you, because you are my eternal fan, I will try to work a little more of my romantic side into these roles if I can. Maybe we can alter the Terminator's neural net processor to include a little romance! Thanks for your question and remember, you can always keep up on all my latest projects right here at Schwarzenegger.com. Dear Arnold, I would like you to know that you are (the) very best. Not only as an actor and athlete but also as a person. You give courage not only to me but also to everyone... After all these years of hard work and training what do you think of your life? What is the first thing that you think of every day when you wake up and look at yourself in the mirror? Are you happy with everything that has happened to your life? Would you like to change something? If yes, what would that be? Thanks for your time. Your answer would mean a lot to me. - thomeas@hotmail.com First of all, thank you for the many compliments. They mean a lot to me. During the all of the press and media coverage for "THE 6TH DAY", I often joked that I'd love to be cloned. I was only partly joking. I've been fortunate to accomplish many things, but the thing I think of every day when I wake up in the morning is, I want to do more. In bodybuilding, you always want to do one more rep -- It's the same with life. I'm attached to many film projects and it is my sincere wish to do them all, but I also want to be at every Inner-City Games function as well as spend as much time as I can with my wife and family. If I could change one thing, it would be to add another 10-12 hours on to every day. Hey Arnold I'm a huge fan I love every movie you've done. But I am also one of the millions and millions of fans of the WWF's The Rock, and I've heard on the Internet you guy's know each other. Since The Rock is getting into acting and is suppose to be the next action hero will you guy's ever team up to make a huge blockbuster hit. P.S. Thank You Arnold for all the work you've done from a lifetime fan!!!!!!! - BIGBOWZER69@aol.com The Rock is a fantastic guy and he and I have hung out a few times. I went out and visited him on the set of "THE SCORPION KING", which also stars my good friend Ralf Moeller ("GLADIATOR"). It looks likes its going to be a fantastic movie! Currently, we have no plans to team up in a film together, but it's always possible that the right project could come along in the future. You have had an impact on so many people's lives... but are there times when you can just be you? Can you put your feet up on a Sunday morning and watch "The Simpsons"? - bigbopperbjh@hotmail.com What? Put my feet up on a Sunday morning? Almost impossible! With Maria and our four kids, there is always something to do! Seriously though, I've reached a point in my career that I can do almost anything I want, including just kicking my feet up on a Sunday and watching the game, anything. I've been very fortunate. But to me the point of life is to make "an impact", in your neighborhood, your city, country, the world. I can't do that sitting on the couch, so to a certain degree, going out and making that impact, whether it is through my work, business, or via the Special Olympics or Inner-City Games Foundation is how I can best "just be me." I love to spend time with my family and make as much time for them as I can. If I'm watching The Simpsons, which is a fantastic show, its more than likely because I'm hanging out with my kids and they want to watch "The Simpsons", or the Lakers game, or we're all off skiing, something like that... Spending time with my family is another way to just be myself, because their love gives you back a piece of yourself. If I do ever find extra time, I enjoy skiing, travel, and whenever possible, getting on my Harley and taking a ride with friends. The ride is one of the few times I can get away from everything and just reflect on life. It's fantastic! I want to say that my brother and I are some of your biggest fans. My brother strives to be like you and to become a weight lifter, and so far is doing a great job... as for me I'm not as energetic as him and need some inspiration. I guess I am in need of motivation more than answers to questions. Anything you could say to get me back into lifting and exercising would really mean a lot to me and many people in my situation. - robertnbirchler@yahoo.com There are many things I can say that may inspire you today, or tomorrow, but the ultimate inspiration must come from yourself. Most of us choose to sit on the couch, watching television, munching on chips and soda. But there are many hours in the day that if you used just one of these hours each day, just to take a walk, run or do push-ups, the increased energy you would you feel would become its own inspiration. This is what happened to me. When I first started working out, I ached and pained, but I felt great about myself and what I was accomplishing. I was motivated to do more, not only in my workouts, but also in my life. I knew I could do anything, own a successful business, become an actor, or win a Mr. Olympia title. Once you start a fitness program, you will find yourself looking forward to the next workout. It will become a part of you. But you must make the first step. I hope I've inspired you and many others to do just that. Keep Pumping! Dear Arnold I am 13 and I have always dreamed about becoming a director when I am older. What should I be doing now?. Thank you. - motselwonk@home.com I don't mean to oversimplify this, but if you want to be a director, start directing. The important thing to realize is that you probably won't direct "STAR WARS" tomorrow, and nobody would expect you to. It would have been unrealistic for me to think I could win Mr. Olympia after only a year in the gym! No, I had to work towards that goal for many years. Directing films (or plays), like any other skill, takes time to master. The important thing is to set your goals and begin working towards it. For example, even though I'd been in some of the biggest films of all time and I'd worked (and learned) from great directors like Jim Cameron and John Milius, I knew that I still had to work at directing, like you would a muscle. You start with one rep, then two, etc... This is why when Joel Silver approached me about directing "THE SWITCH", a short episode of "TALES FROM THE CRYPT", I knew it was the perfect place to start. The experience taught me a great deal and after I was finished, I was ready to direct a feature, "CHRISTMAS IN CONNECTICUT". What I learned from that, I will take into the next film, should I decide to direct again. What I can recommend would be to set some goals that you can work toward over the next few years or so. Maybe you want to start by studying the films of all of the great filmmakers, read everything you can about filmmaking, write a script, and draw up a storyboard, just to start working with how to tell a story visually. Then, if you can get a camera, start making short films, but give each film a purpose. For example, in this film, I want to explore lighting, so I'm going to do a 40's inspired detective film with a lot of high contrast lighting, lots of shadows. Then, maybe see how much of a story you can tell in 30 seconds, with no dialog, etc... After a few years, you'll have learned a lot. Then evaluate where you are, and create a new set of goals. Make a feature film, enter your short film in a festival, go to film school. Keep working. Stay positive. You' will find yourself were you wanted to be. This is the only way I know how to do things. Hey Arnold, Your a real role model for me. I have been extremely dedicated to weightlifting these last couple of years and I have a question. How many sacrifices did you make to keep with your intense training? Is there such a thing as 'overdoing it'? I often rather pick working out rather then hanging out with friends. One more quick question, what do you think played the most important role for your success in bodybuilding: dedication, nutrition, or genetics? Thanks for your time! - sobol777@earthlink.net Thank you! I am always flattered when I hear that I am someone's role model. It is a great reward for the many sacrifices I made to achieve my bodybuilding goals. I am also flattered that you come to me seeking exercise advice. I am not a doctor, and you should consult your family physician before you start any exercise routine, so ask your doctor about overdoing it, but remember, if your body gets tired, it usually tells you. If your friends give you a hard time about how much time you spend at the gym, take off your shirt and show them your progress! Or maybe just invite them to the gym with you! Your other quick question has a tough answer. I would have to say that you listed them in their order of importance. Dedication is THE most important factor in your exercise routine. Without dedication, you are lost. When my father limited my trips to the local gym, I made one at home in the freezing cellar! Nutrition is also important, but if you are working out enough, your body will burn just about anything you eat, but always remember that if you maintain a healthy diet, your body builds a healthy foundation for your muscles. Again, consult your family physician or nutritionist before you start any new diet routine. When I was in the Austrian Army, I was eating army food; not great, but it provided me with the carbs and protein I needed to continue to bulk up. Genetics can definitely interfere, but I believe with dedication and nutrition, just about anyone can overcome their physical limitations. Thanks for your note, and keep going, Mr. Schwarzenegger, I would just like to comment on all of your wonderful movies! I watched The 6th Day, End of Days, and True Lies, all the same weekend for the first time. I think they are wonderful movies and you are a truly talented actor. I am 19 years old and going to college, I wish they had a major such as: Schwarzenomics--everything about you. If there was such a thing I would love my job! My question is, are you going to make anymore comedy-action-romantic films? I absolutely love them, if this gets to you, I would just like to tell you, I think you are the sexiest man alive! For People magazine, you would have my vote hands down! - Wendy Dear Wendy, Thank you for the compliments! I'll be sure to forward your message to People magazine! I am glad you liked my films! There are plenty more to see, if you haven't already. Or, heck, see them again! Schwarzenomics sounds like a great course! Of course, if there were such a course, it would be for physical education credit! Earlier in my acting career, I wanted to mix things up a bit, an action thriller, followed by a comedy, then another action movie. Right now, I am keeping my options open. I am committed to working on Terminator 3. But after that, who knows? One thing's for sure, I'll be back. (Check the theatres in October for my next film, COLLATERAL DAMAGE, a political thriller directed by Andrew Davis.) Thanks again. Hi... This is Luciano from Italy... I love all (your) movies... l love your words 'I'll be back'. I won an auction (The Sixth Day) and I bought a hat to help benefit Special Olympics and the Inner-City Games. I truly believe... in what Arnold does for children... My question for Arnold is, "Where does your love for children come from? My father used to say, "If I had all the treasuries of the world, I would give then for a child's heart". Thanks... - cris.ept@libero.it First of all, thank you for helping us support the Inner-City Games and Special Olympics through Schwarzenegger.com. I really appreciate that. Your love for children is also obvious! As I was growing up, there were always people in my life who helped and encouraged me, including my parents, coaches and friends. I still remember how my friend Karl Gerstl wouldn't let me quit on the day's I didn't feel like training. He'd inspire me or challenge me in some way so that I would keep going. As a kid, these mentors and friends were extremely important to me. I can never truly thank them for everything they did for me. But what I can do is give others the same kind of encouragement and support they gave me. I can help others succeed. I believe this is how the world works. Our kids want to do well. They want to succeed. I truly believe if we are there for them, they will. See Arnold, it is true. Dreams do come true! T3 and T4. What can a bloke say? You are fulfilling one boy's dream (man's now) by making these movies. I have loved that movie ever since I first saw it. My question though is this. Given that some companies have made robots, and other companies have written very, very complex Artificial Intelligence programs, and still others have developed rapid-fire guns, and all the other silly things we do as humans, do you see a sad day in the future when mankind will make such devices similar to what we see in the media everyday? And what are your thoughts on this idea? Keep up the good work with the children. We as adults know they need it. Have a good one mate! - John Over the next few decades, I believe we will make incredible advances in science and technology. I believe we will one day create thinking machines. Whether or not this is a "sad" day will depend greatly on mankind, not the robot. It's almost impossible to watch a rocket launch astronauts into space and not somehow be reminded that similar technology also allows mankind to target weapons of mass destruction at each other from great distances, and th | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
